Aromaleigh's New Color Infusion Botanical Lipsticks

I just received some of Aromaleigh's new Color Infusion Botanical Lipsticks, together with some Pure Hue and other samples from this company. First of all, let me say that I was a huge fan of Aromaleigh's old lipstick housed in the traditional bullet tubes. I personally thought that a change in container from the original bullet to a chapstick-like tube wasn't such a big deal, as long as the product and the amount remained the same. I just couldn't help but be disappointed when I received my loot.
First of all, the pigmentation and creaminess of the old formula rivaled that of top brands, and in fact, I preferred Aromaleigh's creamy, opaque lipstick to some of MAC's lustre lipsticks. I loved how creamy yet pigmented the old lipstick was. I liked it paired with Aromaleigh's lipglosses, and the results were just pigmented, luscious, glossy lips. When I got the new Color Infusion Botanical lipsticks, however, I didn't know that they would be in the same tubes Silk Naturals uses for their lipsticks and lipglosses, and to think that Silk Naturals have great, pigmented lipsticks and they are a whopping $3 less than those of Aromaleigh's. It's obvious that the amount of product in the new tubes is considerably less than that of the original lipstick tube.

I have Tea Rose Pure Hue and Le Mystere #46 too! How do you like the e/s colors that you received?
Yup, I was quite disappointed because I waited quite a while to order them because Aromaleigh was closed for a week. Also, if I wanted sheer lipglosses, I could always order from Silk Naturals (Birthday Suit is an HG gloss of mine). Aromaleigh really offered a very unique, awesome product in the old lipstick formula. I am disappointed that they discontinued those.
I haven't tried their e/s yet, but they look so prettily pigmented! Can you give me a run-down of your faves so I can order samples of them? ;-) TIA!
Oh noooo! You mean the colors changed as well? I really don't know why AL keeps making these changes...are they cutting costs or something?
How is the formula of the new lip glosses? Are they the same as the old...Sigh, I hope they bring back the old colors though.
The new (tube and wand) formula is more like a thick gel-gloss and feels much more moisturizing than the click-pen formula. The finish is more like a "shiny wet glossy" look, which I like. (If you recall, the click pen glosses were more liquidy like lip "paint"). From my understanding, the old lippies were formulated by a supplier outside Aromaleigh and they were unreliable with deliveries or keeping the colors consistent or something like that; so Kristen decided to create the new range in-house...
Thanks for the heads up Lili! Seems like the glosses are an improvement then...I like that they are now the thick gel-gloss type. I can't wait to try the new formula.
Yes I think I get AL's explanation of manufacturing the new lipsticks in-house instead of through an outside supplier. I just don't get why they changed the formula to sheer instead of the creamy, opaque lipstick that I loved.
