Cory Minerals and A Gold/Bronze Look

Comments

Wow! The pigments all look well blended in their baggies too. This was a concern of mine, since some gals have had some odd looking samples. Great tip on applying Cory foundation too! I think Jenulence may possibly be the second heaviest coverage (or close to) and I find that I have to use a much more fluffy/full brush than my usual dense kabuki, when applying. Are you using a fiber optic for applying the blush? Or are you able to control the high concentration with using just a few grains and a natural brush?
I tried applying cory with my first FT from EDM and it took a lot of effort and i think my skin kinda hurts now. I think i will stick with the kabuki or try lumiere's angled brush to apply.
Yes they are pretty well-blended; I've ordered dozens of samples from Cory and I've yet to see an unblended baggie. I just love all the colors, they are pigmented but they go pretty and buildable, even sheer with my Lumiere angled duo fibre. Yes I do use FO in applying these as they are very pigmented. How are you liking Jenulence compared to Cory?
Ouch! I hope your skin feels better. Do try a powder brush (a fluffy one instead of a dense one), and just lightly "sweep" the minerals on your face instead of buffing in so that the skin doesn't get aggravated. I do admit it takes some sort of technique to apply this foundation. Goodluck!
If you're a Beyond Cream then I am definitely darker (Caramel Cream). I tried on Beyond Cream and thought it was a match but in photos my face is lighter than my neck. I hope I get those new samples soon.

I totally still have to master cory. i made it look way cakey today! thank you for the tips :)

I got a FS Beyond Cream partly because of you, since we actually don't differ much in skintone; in fact I think we're almost the same! I tried Caramel Cream and it's a little dark though, but I think I should have a small stash of it with me to tweak Beyond Cream when I get darker. Have you tried Caramel Cream yet?
I ordered another set of samples last week with Caramel Cream. Who knows when I'll get that because Cory takes a long time sending out samples.

I've never tried Cory. =D I've shied away from it since it has high levels of Titanium Dioxide (too much ends up drying me out) and have only heard about Cory through reading several posts. --Tempted to order some Cory blush and their blush sticks. Seeing your samples without flaw (as opposed to some of the newer complaints) is tempting me more! LOL Jenulence (the kaolin free one) foundation/concealer is pretty nice for a heavy coverage. I think it's the heaviest coverage I've tried so far....I just haven't found the perfect match yet. Oh I LOVE Lumi's Duo Fiber Optic! I think it's my favorite of all fiber optics I own...that and the slanted blush one. =D

In my experience, Cory processes orders and ships really fast; she ships in 2-3 days. I hope you get yours soon.

Blush sticks? I haven't seen those, that sounds yummy! I really love the Cory's blushes because those little baggies last a really LONG time. I like to use Lumiere's angled FO instead of the regular FO though - I get more control as to where I want the pigment to be. :) I love both though!

Oops! They are called Satin Cream Multi Purpose Color Cremes! check them out here: http://www.corycosmetics.com/satin_creams.htm#Slick and here they have more cream cosmetic options, which includes their cream foundation, concealer and even their Zodiac Collection of Satin Cremes: http://www.corycosmetics.com/cream_cosmetics.htm

I may have to try a few samples or full sizes. LOL Me and baggies just don't get along the greatest...I am such a clutz with those dang things!

I agree with the angled FO...it is just awesome! What I love best about Lumi's is that they are suppose to be ALL 100% synthetic, where most others have the goat hair and synthetics. Lumi's FO's are the softest I've tried so far. I love them. =D
