I received my
Joppa package containing my goat milk soap,
Simple Radiance finishing silk in
Medium that I got on sale, and my 45-pc eyeshadow sampler. I forgot to take pics of my
Simple Radiance but it's in a huge pot with a powder puff; it looked very pretty and professional. The
Medium shade just blended into my skin perfectly, and the result looks really polished, almost airbrushed, just like my favorite finishing powders like Bare Escentual's
mineral veil,
Monave Angel finishing powder and
Silk Naturals' Sheer and Dait Bait finishing powders. Since this has silk, I thought it would be a little bit less matte but it didn't look that way, though, and it's not uber-glowy either. I will make a more detailed review once I take another round of photos.
I tried the eyeshadow samples and I have to note that the texture is very different from the other mineral shadows that I've tried. It's less shimmery, creamier, a little drag but not too much, which is what I prefer, actually. It has a very creamy, velvety texture which is perfect if you don't like your shadows very shimmery. I really love how earthy, rich and velvety the shades are. I did some swatches using a slightly dampened brush.

Does your album have pockets to store the sample baggies in?
One day the sampler went down to $16 so I grabbed it. The next day it was up again at $19.
No the album doesn't have pockets; it's "magnetized". When you place the baggies on the page the baggies are automatically stuck; there is a plastic overlay protecting the baggies too.
That just shows how often I trek to Joppa's site; I want to see the different sale items they put up. =D
You can buy the album from craft stores like Michael's. I even saw these at fabric stores like Jo-Ann's. The one I'm using was a present from somebody way back.
Wooo those samples look pretty! You are tempting me to get the 45 e/s sampler! I like to have some not too shimmery e/s for daily wear, I can't wait to try my samples :) Does the simple radiance finisher contain silk? I thought I checked the ingredients list and it doesn't.
Woops, my bad! The name of the product is Silk Radiance Medium Finishing Silk, so I thought there was silk in it hence the name. Oh well. It has kaolin clay instead.
