lol!! that is the most adorable thing i have ever seen!! haha
he really had to take his time with that ya know?!

lol yeah I really had to give him a hug and kiss when he presented me with that. Better than a dozen long-stemmed roses anyday!

Thank you for sharing those Lauress charts! I too started out with the original foundation and thought I found my match in the Elemental foundation, but it didn't quite work with the Minimalist (probably because it needs to be a closer match due to its heavier coverage). I ended up having to bug Lauren for help because I couldn't find the chart, and she went to her off-site storage to dig up her original foundation stash. If I had thought to ask for the chart, I probably could've saved her a trip!
I forgot to say that your brush drying apparatus is ingenious! (My brushes take up so much room when they're drying.) Kudos to your hubby!
That's an awesome way to dry your brushes. lol. Good idea.
it's a great idea, thanks for sharing!! LaurEss foundations look great on you:D
LOL Why can't all hubbys be like that?
YW! I just have to ask though, which was darker/lighter, your Minimalist shade or Elemental? The chart was indeed a great help, it narrowed down my choices considerably.
Thanks, but it wasn't my idea though! DH never fails to amaze me with his MacGyver style of doing things. :)
Thank you! I feel Soft Yellow is a tad too light, but just the right mix of Pure Yellow would probably do the trick. :) And LaurEss really looks so smooth on just about anybody I've seen wearing it.

lol DH has always been a handyman-DIY kind of guy. He gets into this handyman-woodwork guy mode all the time. He never backs out of a project/challenge no matter how mundane it seems. :)

I actually never did a side-by-side comparison of my Minimalist and Elemental shades, so I swatched them on my arm this morning:

Pure Yellow Elemental is a touch more yellow than its Minimalist counterpart.
Fresh Gold Elemental is a little darker and a bit less yellow than the Minimalist version.
Warm Gold Minimalist has more peach in it than Warm Gold Elemental.

These aren't huge differences and most people could probably just choose their Minimalist shade based on what they wore in the Elemental formula. But because I'm in between shades and have to mix, the extra peachiness in the Warm Gold Minimalist and decreased yellowness of Pure Yellow resulted in a shade that was a little too peachy for me. The extra coverage of the Minimalist formula probably accentuated the mismatch. Adding Fresh Gold helped me use less Warm Gold to achieve the depth I desired.

It doesn't sound like you'd have to do as much mixing as me, but you might want to consider getting both Soft and Pure Yellow to be on the safe side.
