The Quest Continues: DreamWorld and T123 Minerals (Adorned With Grace)

I've been testing out my spring/summer shades for two brands: DreamWorld and T123 (Adorned With Grace). The latter is still in the testing stages and will be open to the public in a few months or so. DreamWorld is a fledgling mineral makeup company that's been earning rave reviews based on the quality of its products and Ellie's (the owner's) amazing CS.

I've found my fall-winter shade in DreamWorld using a mix of Theia and Tethys. It's been working great until I realized that I would be getting a wee bit darker soon and would therefore need a summer formula/shade to use.

In THIS entry, I mentioned how Ellie was kind enough to send darker yellow-toned foundation samples for me to try and see which one would match my spring/summer skintone. I tried a 50-50 mix of Amenti and Theia which was still a wee bit dark, so I added Ashnan into the mix. Ashan has lighter yellow undertones and it made the look a little lighter but still a tad dark. However, I plan to save it for the onslaught of the summer heat here when I'd be considerably darker than I am now.

The DW match looks good to me. i need to start taking pictures outside when sitting in my car, i think the lighting is probably more accurate that way. i am still awaiting my dreamworld order. it's taking considerably longer than the 7-8 days. i feel bad for Ellie, she is getting bombarded with orders, but i am so curious about her creme toppings and foundation.

I feel bad for Ellie too, I hope she catches up really soon. Everybody wants a piece of her minerals as they are really good quality products.

Periwinkle, this happened w/me too re: Testing 123 foundation. I got the same large bag of 2.6 and it's very dark! I could have sworn the first baggies I got were labeled the opposite way (as you thought), but I don't have them anymore to check. My mix was almost the same as yours (original test baggies). Other than it being too dark I do like this foundation alot! I wonder if the bag of Y3 is enough to lighten this batch?

I thought of exactly the same thing! I was about to dump the entire contents of my small Y3 bag into the bigger Y2.6 bag but I held myself - I wasn't too sure about it because it might confuse me even mroe but I might do it real soon because there's no other way to do it. Franchesca I think is cooking up some new batches after I told her my mistake.

I haven't added it yet either, but I can't wear the 2.6 as it is now and I don't think I'll get that dark this summer. I sent her a couple emails over the past 2 weeks or so but haven't heard back from her. I hope I can nail the correct shade soon!
