I received these a couple of days ago but I am only posting them now. Aromaleigh and Adorned With Grace have some of the fastest shipping times in cyberspace, and they even had amazing deals to begin with! Anyways, I'll start with my Adorned With Grace haul. Franchesca of AwG had this amazing deal of TWO full-sized (30g) jars of foundation for only $19 and some change (now it's $22.99 - that's still a great deal IMO!). I got the Hope 3.5 and Hope 3.8 shades, because my shade is a mixture of these. She also mentioned on her blog that if an order reaches a total of $20, she would throw in samples of her entire holiday eyeshadow collection. How cool is that?? So I bought a blush sample in Esoteric for a buck, and I got the entire shadow collection samples! Wait, it doesn't stop there. A few months ago, Franchesca offered me a free blush or two free shadows of my choice, and so I took this opportunity to grab a couple of shadows from Franchesca's gorgeous collection. I got Amiable and Marvelous and they are just amazingly pigmented and the colors are beautiful. I especially love Marvelous, it is THE perfect blend of bronze, brown and goldish undertones. Can't wait to make some looks using these.

Yesterday, I posted an entry with pictures and swatches of Aromaleigh Holiday Blast limited edition shadows. Last night, a received an e-mail from one of my readers with this comment/query:

Hi Aileen! Your Holiday Blast swatches are beautiful! I don't know whether I should be happy or not that I already ordered before you posted them! haha Anyway, is Sneak a peek somewhat similar to Gothic Lolita's Angel Bouquet? And also, do I still need High Heels if I already have Champagne toast?....Maybe Burnt Roses is somewhat similar to Cookie Party.

I had to stop for a moment and think after I read this e-mail. I have never thought about Gothic Lolita, which is one of my favorite Aromaleigh shadow collections. It dawned on me that yes, there might be colors from that collection that are similar to the Holiday Blast shadows. I then decided to swatch some shadows from both Gothic Lolita and Holiday Blast collections side-by-side so that the shadows can be better compared to each other. These swatches were swatched dry without a base:

Here is one more look using some pinks from Aromaleigh. I really like Aromaleigh's shadows because they remind me of MAC pigments in color but not texture-wise. The shadows are very pigmented and they have a lot of highlights and lowlights that bring depth and nuance to your eye look. The choices and finishes available are also staggering in number. As if the choices weren't enough, Aromaleigh has just churned out a holiday eyeshadow collection called Holiday Blast. You know what's coming up next - sample time!

I had to bring out some of my makeup items that haven't been receiving enough love lately, and one of these items was my lipstick.  The one I was using was Lightly Ripe from MAC's Cult of Cherry collection.  It was one of the very first products that got me drawn to the Cult of Cherry, and yet I think I have only used this around 3 or 4 times since I bought it.  Pity!  Anyways, I love the warm tones of the lipstick, and it also complements my skintone.

Took me a couple of minutes to think about the title for this entry; it contains a hodge-podge of topics! Anyways, here are a couple of looks I've been meaning to post. The first one features Eye Lustre shadows from Aromaleigh, while in the second, I used MAC Blonde's Gold pigment and one of my Meow Feliners (mineral liners), Sex Kitty. It was also one of the rare times I used bold, red lip color.

Hey everyone, was able to log in, so here I am! Will be a bit quick, though. Just want to share with you some of my latest acquisitions, and I am loving them.

I bought all 2004 Pure Rouge samples of Aromaleigh (there were I think 20 of them), and I'm loving the texture and application. I love that even though each bag/shade contains 1/4 teaspoon of product (which I think is pretty adequate), you only use so little for each application. I took some shots using one of them, but they are in the other camera, so I will post them once I get to have internet connection again (grrr!).

So since I just bought a bajillion pigments from Aromaleigh, it's just right that I use them, correct? =D Here are a few looks using some of the pigments. All eye products are Aromaleigh unless otherwise specified.

Fox foiled on lid, Copper on outer V, and just a tiny bit of Rock Bottom on crease and outer V. I used MAC Maid of Honor shadow to highlight, MAC Ostentatious fluidline to line, MAC Graphblack technakohl to tightline and on waterline.

Last June 30th, Aromaleigh had an amazing 50% sale off their Rocks! Sonic eyeshadows. To those not familiar with Aromaleigh pigments, the Rocks! Sonic collection has the most intense, brightest, off-the-charts pigment colors available in this brand, and also some of the most vivid and most pigmented you could find anywhere. It is not 100% minerals but a hybrid of natural minerals and some ingredients used for traditional cosmetics. I was over-the-moon when the sale was announced because I've always wanted to get full sizes of some amazingly-colored Rocks! shadows. I didn't know that the price would go as low as 50% off! So I placed an order that day, and three days later it arrived at my doorstep. Pretty quick, huh?

I noticed that several of the Rocks! Sonic shadows I've encountered needed some sort of mixing medium to make them adhere to the skin. That's fine because I almost always use my MAC mixing medium for pigments anyway. These swatches were applied wet with no base.

My full size Gothic Lolita eyeshadows from Aromaleigh finally arrived, and I can't wait to play with them. First, they looked so pretty in the jars that I didn't want to open them. But of course, I did, especially since I wanted to do some swatches of them.

The Watermelon Pure Hue was a freebie after using the coupon code for a free Pure Hue jar. I am super stoked about this haul, I am so glad I finally got full sizes of my favorite Gothic Lolitas, especially the gorgeous Strawberry Despair and Satin Laces.

Again??? Yup, again. I used to hate blue (always preferring green for eye makeup), but I wanted to use my blue shadows that have not been receiving enough love from me lately. Here is how I did them (all products MAC unless otherwise specified):

Apply Beige-ing shadestick on lid, brows and lower lashline as base. Apply Rollickin' paint pot on lid (don't worry if finish is uneven, it will be rectified later on).

Here is a picture encompassing three steps. Using a shader brush, apply Aromaleigh Pure Hue eyeshadow in Heaven foiled on entire lid, then apply Shu Uemura eyeshadow in ME Blue 638 on mid to outer lid. Foil Aromaleigh Rocks! Sonics eyeshadow in Moonaged Daydream on outer V.
