I have amassed quite a bit of FOTDs lately as I have been either too lazy or too tired to post them. As a result, I think (I hope not) I have forgotten some of the products I used for these. I remember vividly though the foundations I used for these looks: Joppa, DreamWorld, and Meow (with a layer of Oceanmist underneath). I love these brands as they control my oilies and yet do not make my skin super dry. I am always amazed by the ultra-smooth finish these foundations give.

For this first look, I used my limited edition and rare MAC eyeshadow in Sunplosion for the first time. Yes, the first time. I'd wanted to really pack it on so that the beautiful vividness of the coppery orange could be seen, but I didn't have the time. Also, I didn't want to wear a very bright eye look for work, so this would have to do. I did commit a cosmetic mortal sin, though - I totally forgot to put on (the horror!) - mascara! I was such in a hurry that it completely slipped my mind. I know, eye makeup without mascara looks funky to say the least - but hey, nobody's perfect!

I just received some samples of new darker yellow-toned foundations that DreamWorld owner Ellie had just concocted for her avid fans (me included). She was so nice to offer them to me for free, and her generous samples are just SO beautiful. I do have my own custom mix of DreamWorld foundation in Theia and Tethys, but sunny days are here again and I am bound to get darker as the days go by. In fact, I feel that I am already darker and my previous mix of Theia and Tethys no longer cuts it. She sent me original Amenti, her new versions of Amenti (Amenti IV and Amenti V), plus a new version of Theia (Theia IV) and Hebe. Today I used my original Theia foundation mixed with original Amenti, and I thought it was a bit dark in person (I may have to change the recipe a bit, but more or less using the same shades). However, miracle of miracles, it still looks so luminous in pictures - not white, mind you, but just luminous and as the day wore on, it looked more and more natural on my face. I just love Ellie's foundations, they are just right up there, creme de la creme, I should say. I can't wait to try my other DreamWorld minerals, everything is just so gorgeous and softly similar to each other in shade that I think I can wear any of them. That's what I love about DreamWorld foundation, the shades are so forgiving and you look great either way.

I also wanted to have an iridescent blue/green eye look so I wore my favorite Lumiere eyeshadow on the lid, Peppermint Patti (a gorgeous iridescent green/blue/grey that changes colors at the slightest movement), coupled with Valerie Beauty's Papillon (a beautiful light teal shade) on the inner to mid-lid. I used a little of Valerie Beauty's Ancient and Bootcut eyeshadows on the crease and outer V. I applied MAC eyeshadows in Ricepaper and Nylon on the browbone to highlight. Of course, I prepped my eyes by using MAC Beige-ing shadestick as base. I also used Indelible gel liner in Black Out to line and Rimmel and MAC mascaras.

I used one of my favorite mineral blushes, Lumiere Cherry Blossom (I love all of Lumiere's silk and veena blushes, as in there are no duds; every one of them is beautiful IMO).

It's Friday and I wanted to have some color on the lids at work as the rules are a little bit relaxed on corporate casual Fridays. As I keep saying again and again, my favorite color is green and I missed wearing it on my lids. I used four (but it can be just three) different MAC eyeshadows for this look. They are all from the permanent collection (I didn't count the highlighter, Going Bananas, which was from the C-Shock collection). All this limited edition hype is making me crave for some good old, reliable permanent colors from MAC. Please note that I did this look in about 10 minutes tops as I didn't want to be late for work, so please pardon any mistakes or imperfections.

I am wearing my beauty powder blush in Eversun and I am really loving this. This is a prettier, sheerer version of the popular MAC blush in Sunbasque, but I prefer Eversun because it is softer but definitely remarkable. It gives the pop of color that I need without making the look garish.

I also used my Joppa mineral foundation and I am really loving this. I got a full size pot for only $10 when they had it on sale, and I am so glad I got a good deal. I love the smooth finish and the great coverage. I am liking this mineral makeup company because they have awesome sales regularly (check their clearance items) and the pigments/minerals are of really good quality.

Here's a look featuring the McQueen Pharaoh paint pot and Pagan eyeshadow. The latter does remind me so much of Bitter and Overgrown shadows, and it is also similar to Chartreuse pigment, so if you have these, Pagan is not really a must-have. Pharaoh, on the other hand, is beautiful under any green shadow. I also used my favorite Indelible gel liner in Endangered. I am really so in love with it, just as I was in love with my MAC Shade fluidline which unfortunately dried up (I think I got an old formula of the fluidline because my newer fluidlines haven't dried up on me yet). I also used my New Vegas mineralize skinfinish and it just gives a subtle golden glow. I used it on top of my blush and it's pretty subtle enough to be used during the day. I also featured a mix of Dayna's foundation in PN and P1 (70-30 mix). I think this suits my autumn skintone better.

When I got my McQueen loot, I didn't know that there were actually three paint pots from this collection. I had to go back and get the other one called Other Worldly, and it would look gorgeous as a base for any teal or blue look. I also tried Masque lipstick and I almost passed up on it because I wasn't used to those dirty-rose/pale lip look. I had to tell myself to get out of the box so I just grabbed it. I'm glad I got Masque because it is the perfect lip look to go with strong/vivid eye colors. It is perfect with White Magic lipglass from the same collection.

I am combining my two most favorite colors in the world in a look that can be worn during the day. It may look a bit summery but I don't mind, because it is still pretty warm here, although temperatures are steadily dipping. I used my new MAC Liquidlast liner in Inkspill today because I was going to spend the afternoon at a resort spa (it was a heavenly, blissful respite from everything stressful!), and I needed a liner that will neither smudge or melt. Well, Liquidlast did not disappoint. It has gone with me to the sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, my massage and shower, and the line emerged intact with nary a smudge, and I didn't get raccoon eyes at all. A-ma-zing. Now I understand when they said that this stuff really melds to your skin. I also found a more manageable way to use the brush applicator: start lining from the middle of the eye going outwards, then work your way toward the inner eye using the residue. That way, you won't get wonky lines or too thick product in the inner eye.
